Bottlecap Building
A collection of creative and engineering projects centered around bottle caps — from functional builds to artistic designs. Each project reflects my hands-on approach and knack for turning everyday objects into something unique.
Bottlecap Gun
This project turned out to be a much bigger time sink than I expected. The springs I tried either didn't provide enough force or were way too strong. When I used some really tight springs, I actually managed to injure myself! After a lot of tweaking and trial and error, I finally got the gun to reliably shoot bottlecaps up to 60 feet.
Door Table
I took an old door off of its hinges and was struck with the strange urge to turn it into a board gaming table. I found some scattered pieces around the house and got to work. This project took about 10 hours to complete with non stop gluing, sanding, and resining bottlecaps onto the table. The end result is a unique and functional piece of furniture that adds character to my room.
Old Bottlecap Table
This was my first attempt at making a bottlecap table. I tried using resin, but it ended up leaving the surface sticky. Instead of using it for board games, it became my work bench. It was a good learning experience for future projects!
